Another fun weekend up in Sheffield for the annual National Conference for Film Societies and Community Cinemas, organised and run by Cinema for All., the brilliant organisation that has been supporting the Do It Yourself Cinema movement for over 70 years.

There are now over 1,200 Community Cinemas around the country and more spring up all the time. The first thing anyone does when they want to set up a Community Cinema would be to google how to go about it, and that would take them straight to Cinema for All, where they will get the best, and friendliest, advice imaginable.

The annual awards is their way of celebrating the efforts everyone around the country involved in the groups that run these cinemas.

​We were once again delighted to be shortlisted for awards for our Programming and our Marketing and Publicity, Up against some pretty awesome competition, we were delighted to receive Commendations in both those categories. 

​This hints that we are one of the most well regarded Community Cinemas out there and gives us encouragement to try and be even better!
